Bon Ga has been a long serving staple in Koreatown. With its vast menu with many options, this place is busy on the weekends. Luckily my friend and I visited on a weekday when it was nearly empty. We decided to give the AYCE option a try. I am a fan of the AYCE option at Handam, but I was a bit burned out by it, so this became an option to try. I appreciated that this place has a variety of non grill options included with their AYCE option like seafood pancake, corn, egg soufflé, and fried chicken wings. The potions of the brisket and beef belly were huge. They were a bit skimpy on the galbi though, and I had to order another round which was a much better cut, but only one slice was brought out. Hmph. You pay a little extra for galbi if you'd like it in the AYCE option The server lady was a bit... obtrusive at times and then distracted and hands off when we did need service. She brought out an item I didn't actually order but talked about to my dining partner. She tried to direct our cooking, even though we were looking for a certain doneness to the meat. It wasn't our first rodeo, so it was a bit annoying. One side of the grill was barely getting hot, which can be a good or bad thing if you just want a spot to keep the meat warm after cooking. It did slow down the cooking time on an already small grill. Would definitely return despite not being a fan of the service. Hope I can order half orders of the brisket and fill up more on galbi next visit.

Came here spur of the moment after plan A didn't work out. Walked in and was immediately greeted and seated. Food didn't take long to come out and everything was hot and fresh. I can not name these Korean dishes as I'm not the one that placed the order. The food was really good and very authentic. The waitress gave recommendations based on how much we liked spicy foods. Everything is served family style.

I snuck into this place cause they left the door AJAR The glass almost hit me, could have left a SCAR The decor was so fancy, like a RENOIR They even had a music dude, playing GUITAR The counter was a long one, like a KOREAN BAR And like OMC, I said, HOW BIZARRE When it was time to leave I said AU REVOIR And told everyone about the the soup at BON GA! From the sands of Morocco and the Marrakesh BAZAAR To the bloated billionaires playing Golf at MAR (A LAGO) Who are so in bed with Russia you can call them TSAR And betting 1 mil they can stay under PAR While the hot golf girls drive the little golf CAR And knowing Donald, she used to be an adult STAR But from Africa to Florida, wherever you ARE You won't get better than the soup at BON GA! So you wanna eat more White Castle than KUMAR Talk more politics than BILL MAHER Write better novels than JOHN LE CARRE Bribe more FIFAs than QATAR Be a famous drummer like RINGO STARR Then sit around, get high, playing SITAR And yell at Fox E like Kareem Abdul JABAR Well first you better go and get soup from BON GA! WHAT This is clearly one of the tastiest and most delicious Korean eateries in Texas. You must try it for yourself. Located in Koreatown, in a neighbourhood with at least 2 dozen other Korean spots, this is actually the best I've tried. Wonderful Yuk Gae Jang, delicious flavour. Very fresh and delicious sides. They actually gave me glass noodles as well, even to go, which many don't. Amazed by their excellence, clearly a restaurant that everyone should try. Everything we ordered came in a big portion too. If you like Korean food, especially soups which are our faves, make sure you try these. One of the very best Korean eateries in town. So if the Premier League is still corrupt with VAR And if it looks wrong to film L.A. in NOIR For the best Korean Soup that I've had so FAR Come and get your dnner right here at BON GA! WHAT!

Stopped by for lunch and we ordered the roast beef and octopus (bullak) soondubu jjigae and the beef soondubu jjigae. The roast beef and octopus soondubu was flavorful but the octopus in it was way too tough and rubbery. It was so hard to chew I ended up spitting it out. I don't think I'll order this again :( My partner seemed to enjoyed his beef soondubu a lot. The side dishes that came with the meal were plentiful and pretty good. The atmosphere is casual and the service was quick. I'm a bit disappointed I didn't enjoy my dish but I would probably come back to try out other things on their menu.

You can tell a place is good by the customers there. Apparently this place has been open for years but I've never known about it a) I'm not Korean, lol and b) it's a hidden gem off Longpoint Walking in around 7pm it wasn't super busy on a Saturday night and uhhh i was a bit concerned. My friends picked this place for dinner and they set us up in one of the rooms. All the customers I saw throughout the night though were groups of Korean people which I think is important to note! Their AYCE includes a seafood pancake, steamed egg, spicy rice cake, a salad and corn. Of course the ban chan as well. Everything was really good. The staff working were so nice and diligent about changing out our grills and replenishing foods. I liked the limited meat menu tbh because we got to try it all. I'm prone to do the non-marinated options tbh. Yum It gets a little warm in those rooms because the grill is right underneath the table. They have fans but it's not a fancy place. Ambiance is homey.
